Back in Court tomorrow
To set the trial date.
A bit scary as my Legal Aid hasn't been decided yet and so I'm going in unrepresented. I do have a letter from Nigel Weller and he's also written to the Court telling them what he wants and dates he cannot make etc.
Millie1 was all ready to come with me, but I want to save her as my secret weapon and unleash the beast at the actual trial. Although I'm nervous and it's the last place I will want to be tomorrow I know that it's just formalities until the trial date.

Re: Back in Court tomorrow
Good luck for tomorrow Candcane and please let us know how it goes.
I can`t think of two better people to have behind you.

Re: Back in Court tomorrow
I'm just making sure I have everything ready now and will drop my little one off shortly with my Mum.
All I can think about at the moment is that smarmy little Prosecution Solicitor. He seems to be able to get out of everything, including when he lied in Court last time and told them he'd sent me the photos and he hadn't. Hopefully the Magistrates picked up on it when I produced the email from smarmy Solicitor stating he didn't have the pictures available and would send them or hand them to me at Court.
I also cannot stand the Female RSPCA Inspector. She never changes her facial expression and I've never seen her smile.
Ah well , here we go.

Re: Back in Court tomorrow
I'm back.
Trial date is set for 24th Feb for four days. RSCPA Solicitor was moaning that it was costing to board the animals and would cost an awful lot to keep them boarded until then. There was only one answer to that one
I have an awful lot to do now and have set a couple of wheels in motion after the case management meeting today.
Believe me, I am totally that I'm not going to see may animals at least until then, but I'm pretty certain I'll get them back...................one way or another!

Trial Date
Candcane
...February seems an enormously long wait...mine was set for about a month hence, but because I was told that the final cost would be in the region of £18k or £20k (for one horse for three months) I decided to call it a day. And that was for one horse and a two-day trial. Why is yours a four-day trial..have you asked? How many witnesses are there for God's sake? I swear they drag these things out ad nauseam to make money for the RSPCA...call me suspicious. I am.
You should be aware (you most likely are) that if you have property they can take a charge over it if it is in your name. If and when it is sold they can grab whatever. You will understand what I am saying.. And have you asked to see the vet fees that I suspect they will be deliberately running up? Even if your animals are healthy they will INVENT tests to run up your costs. We all know that.
