Underhand Tactics - my case updated - Section 20

Sorry I haven't been on for a while.

Some of you know that my trial is now February next year. Well, in the meantime the RSPCA put it a section 20 hoping that the Judge would make me sign over my horses. I wrote to the Court telling them it was unfair and that I wanted to request an adjournment until after my trial. The Court wrote back saying they would hear my request on the day of the Section 20 hearing.

I'm pleased to say that the Judge agreed to adjourn as I'd stated that if they took my animals now and I then won the trial next year then I would want my animals back. I had also stated a couple of cases where people had won against the RSPCA but the animals had already been disposed of.

I think the RSPCA were hoping I'd hand over the animals and they would claim costs there and then and maybe case over........................................my dead body!

It's going to be a long time before I'm out of the woods, but at least I've managed to keep the horses in my name for a little longer. I do have a further piece of work to carry out, but Mum's the word at the moment.

I`m glad that the judge saw sense, surely if he thought you couldn`t care for your animals he would have let the RSPCA take them? The whole matter contradicts itself doesn`t it?
