CPS getting involved. Empty CPS Blunder

Post  Trilby Bee Tue Feb 04, 2014 8:00 pm

How can the CPS make a mistake like this? My crap lawyer told me that RSPCA did their own prosecutions because CPS were unbelievably bad and inefficient and I thought he was making it up... In Scotland, the SSPCA do NOT do their own, they use CPS equivalent, the Procurator Fiscal.

CPS getting involved. Empty Another case refused by CPS

Post  millie1* Wed Feb 05, 2014 2:27 pm

I requested a case to be reviewed by CPS too, it was also refused.......... Generally they are more effecient, the standard of evidence required is very high - (as told to me by Policeman who said since changing to CPS many cases the police previously prosecuted (wrongly) never get to court cos they cant get sufficient level of evidence.

I have requested thro MP that CPS review all RSPCA prosecutions for viability, then if they have sufficient evidence let RSPCA prosecute, I believe we would see at least a 50% reduction in court cases - based on success rate of appeals to Crown Court. I put it to him in numbers - how much to employ 2 in CPS to review versus costs to Legal Aid/Justice system of 1000 cases - I think it was a saving of a few million!

Still they wont listen
