Re: Gavin Grant ....
It was on facebook. I only have my laptop so can`t copy and paste and i haven`t got a clue about how to post the link. The Telegraph are covering it.
Reading between the lines i think he jumped before he was pushed.

Agreed...
I think it was a case of when the going gets tough the tough get going....hightailing out as fast as poss. have emailed John Bingham of Telegraph saying the reason is about as believable as any other politician........is not at all and were they going to look a bit deeper.
I will keep trying with the document and hope to get something in word or pdf asap, but if you know anyone out there please keep trying yourself.
thanks

Re: Gavin Grant ....
Best news I've heard in a while.
Such a shame he has 'health issues', something serious I hope
One thing's for sure, can't be a heart problem

Goodbye Gav!
So agree Misty...health problems? I trust it's nothing trivial. I think it was Churchill who came out with that one. Probably pulled a muscle in his back carrying his huge wage packets to the bank every month!! The fact is I would love his salary but whoever takes over will have one hell of a job to undo all the damage he's done. I bet they'll get even more than he does.

Wonder how much pay off he'll get?
They'll have to have another whip round amongst their supporters

Goodbye Gav!
Me too, I would love to know what they've paid to get rid of him...more donated money down the pan. You remember not long ago, think it was the Blue Cross (?) there was some sort of scandal where two women (think one was CEO) were living together then some guy got involved with one of them, then the younger female committed suicide...I seem to recall the guy was paid megabucks to go. Well, they say charity starts at home, certainly it did in the smelly knicker charity shop where I did my Community Disservice. They were very charitable to themselves, believe me.
Wonder who will take over?

We are certainly trying to get to the bottom of his real reason for standing down. If you know anything concrete please do let me know

Re: Gavin Grant ....
Am I the only one who thinks that it's somewhat significant that this has happened just when the review is happening? My guess is that he's got a whiff of the outcome and it's not in his favour; and that it looks better if he goes now due to 'health issues' rather than more or less be kicked out when the results come out in the summer and having to slink away like a whipped dog. Am off to WH Smith now to find a nice 'Enjoy Your Retirement' card. He deserves it.
