R$PCA carrying out triage before moving them to other sites. Thought you would need qualified vets, not 18 inspectors to assess any injury. I would have thought the best thing they could do was match the £500k which had been donated by genuine animal lovers at the last count (maybe more by now). It does not even say they are offering to rehome any on a temporary basis, just as well otherwise the poor creatures would survive a fire only to be killed by RSPCA. Marvellous response, even local company offering to provide materials to rebuild the place.

Re: Dogs' Home Fire
Up to 60 dogs died in the inferno, i`ll bet a few grown men have shed a tear over this sad saga.
No doubt the RSPCA will be trying to take the credit for everyone else`s hard graft and to think that this is the type of shelter that the RSPCA want to shut down.
At least they`ve got the little bastard that allegedly caused the fire.
I hope they put him in the Lions enclosure at Longleat with only a hacksaw to get out with.

£875k now and still no word of RSPCA making a donation. More likely gnashing their teeth that another rescue is getting so much. Amazing amount of damage...amazing so many got out alive. I hope the little shit gets put away somewhere...guess it's just good luck that people were not killed, whether volunteers or people trying to rescue the dogs.

Re: Dogs' Home Fire
With all those donations rolling in i expect the RSPCA are already weighing up the chances of a prosecution or two.
Re: Dogs' Home Fire
No doubt they will find something in the AWA that they can twist in order to find the people running the dogs home guilty of something.

Dogs' Home Fire
Well, it did also occur to me that if this had been, say, an electrical fire owing to faulty wiring or the like, rather than arson, they would get them for not providing a suitable environment. And you can bet they went over the dogs with a magnifying glass and a fine-toothed comb to see if there was anything they could use to their devious advantage. Wonder if they've coughed up any money to help this awful event? Sure if they had they would publicise the fact and I've seen nowt to that effect.
They have been known to drag teenagers to court before now for far less, wonder if this little grotbag will be?
