Good Morning.
New to the Forum,
Although I am not under the ArsePCA I am interested to read folk's experiences, I have a very incompetent "SS"PCA to deal with and have had run ins with them on failure to act and been threatened with "I'll come for you" if I discuss goings on and incompetence with anyone else.

SSPCA
Welcome to the forum Wallop. Well, if you look at the posts on this forum from Nicola and Sarahsten (which are both concerned with the same horse) you will see that the SSPCA are as untrustworthy as their English cousins. Their posts are to do with a lovely old horse called Humphrey whose picture shows a fit and healthy old horse. I think he was 15 and that was about two years ago, so he's definitely getting on now. He has a facebook page, think it's called Help Humphrey. There was absolutely no reason for him to be taken so do be on your guard. Take care that your house is in order, any problems with an animal, even fleas, get it to a vet...once a vet has seen your animal/s and given it the all clear, or treatment, and, importantly, is on your side (as you pay his salary) then you give them a much harder job to take your animals or prosecute. And be sure that there is nothing that nosy neighbours can report. But take a look at Humphrey's case and you will see that SSPCA are a bunch of shysters too. Don't trust anyone if you are in doubt.

Re: Good Morning.
The "SS"PCA inspector here would not take me on again, her predecessor did and came unstuck and I have already complained about her conduct to head office, a MAJOR breech of confidence and conduct.
If she steps foot on my premises she will be removed...and she knows it.

Re: Good Morning.
Oh how refreshing it is to find someone who isn`t afraid to tell them to `do one`

Re: Good Morning.
There was a particularly nasty neglect case near me involving lots of horses, cattle and dogs.
I was asked by the Animal Health office of the council to take lots of photos for them. While I was doing this the "SS"PCA turned up with the police. The SSPCA chap asked me what I thought I was doing and physically tried to stop me taking photos telling me that they could not be used in any case he was dealing with as HE didn't take them, he kept looking to the policeman to come and help him wrestle with me, (Mr Plod knew better than to start a wrestling match with me )
I left the SSPCA chap incandescent with rage when I told him I was taking the photos for the Council and in any case if they didn't use them I just might take out my own private prosecution as I doubted anything would come from his presence there. He said to the policeman, she can't do that, to which the policeman said oh yes I could!
To cut a very long and sad story a bit shorter, I ended up with one of the half dead animals in a sling at my premises, The vet had given me the weekend to affect an improvement in the mare or he would PTS on Monday. The Policeman came to visit her and see how she was getting on the vet came, no show from SSPCA. I kept a diary of everything we did over the weekend, the mares progress etc and she did live. The SSPCA chap was supposed to come and take a statement for prosecution purposes, he turned up and I showed him the nursing notes and diary with all my photos and he said that would be far better than a statement and took a copy with him.
Two days before the trial my business partner happened to run into the Procurator Fiscal in the supermarket and asked him what he thought of the Nursing diary and photographs, he said he had had no such evidence submitted by the SSPCA, NOTHING. So he asked her then and there to resubmit directly to his office every photo and diary that the SSPCA was supposed to have had. He had it on his desk that afternoon. Next morning he asked us if we could supply A4 copies of all the photos as they did not have a colour printer, So we did. Happily all our work that the SSPCA DID NOT DO. resulted in a 10 year ban on keeping animals for the evil person who starved and neglected his animals. Sorry for long post, tea , popcorn and cookies to anyone who got that far......it was a very long , nasty
heartbreaking story.
The best bit was one of my photos from the case made the front page of the local paper
