Those on Facebook, can you please check out........................
and monitor the Facebook page of Lee Hopgood. His profile picture is in black and white of him wearing a hat and backpack. Once you've found him, please check out his photos. I'm meaning the ones which are jokes aimed at Horsemeat.
I'm going to write into Mr Liam Gavin Grant today (at his home address and if any of you need it just PM me) complaining about the pictures found on a Chief Inspectors's Facebook page (not my problem if the page isn't locked down to outsiders).
If you do check it out, would you all witness it too? I doubt I will need anything as I've copied the entire thing, but I just want to all to see this!
I also have Mr Hopgood's home address to if anyone feels the need to complain

Well, Mr Grant gets the letter tommorow by recorded delivery to both his home address in Wiltshire and his Office address.
Will let you all know!

Horsemeat Jokes
Very well done indeed!! That should take the smug smile off Cary Gavin Grant's face; I have looked on FB and seen the pics that you are referring to and will be interested to see how quickly RSPCA Inspector Hopgood removes them once your letter is delivered! Will check again tomorrow!!

Dare you ..
Nah, you ain`t got the minerals ..
You`re too scared ..
The great man himself.......................
Signed for my letter on 24th May at 08:58. Even used his full, correct name when signing.
So, one letter to Mr Grant signed for at his home address. The one to Horsham is still being processed by Royal mail so I expect it should be signed for today.
I'm hoping there will be some fireworks with this one, but then knowing my luck they will find a way out.
Mr Hopgood hasn't removed any photos or locked his facebook account down yet, but still plenty of time today!!!

Re: Those on Facebook, can you please check out........................
I wonder if he opens his own mail at Horsham or if he has a secretary that does it?
Would be good for another set of eyes to see it.

Facebook Pictures
Well, the pictures are still there (Wednesday 29th a.m.) so Lee Hopgood has still not been told to take them down as normal thinkng people might find it offensive that the so-called 'leading animal charity' thinks this is funny. LH may of course be away as it is half-term, but most people have access to the internet most of the time now. I wonder what their Digital Communications Officer (Gemma Smith) thinks of this? Maybe it escaped her notice.

I assume she can only be contacted via letter to Horsham?

RSPCA Digital Communications Officer
I am sure the Digital Communications Officer (Gemma Smith is one, or certainly was very recently - think there are three in total, don't know the other names) must be on FB and Twitter as that is her job - trawling the social networking sites and trying to drum up support (ie greenbacks) for the RSPCA. She was on Pet Forums.co.uk briefly but got such a hard time that she didn't hang about. She is still on the Memberlist there as GemmaRSPCA. Sure there was nothing wrong with the girl personally but could not answer some sticky questions about the RSPCA that the members on PF put to her.
PS: ...and she gave her location as Horsham, fairly sure of that.

Re: Those on Facebook, can you please check out........................
I couldn`t find his fb page last night.
I've had a reply
I received a reply on Saturday from Mr Grant's PA to say they were investigating, but it may take up to four weeks. At least I've had acknowledgement.
I also received an update on my ponies, but not a very in depth one at all. I was very concerened to see one of my little ones witha an incorrectly fitted headcollar on and her stomach is one hell of a funny shape! I reported this back, but think I'm going to stir it up a bit more today. I'm concerend that things may be going un noticed......especially if someone cannot fit a head collar properly!

Think you'll find it as 'Support For Clwyd Davies And His Horses';fairly sure it's not been taken down. A friend of mine saw it a couple of days ago.

Glad to welcome another fighter!
Well done Candcane - this is the sort of opposition the RSPCA needs to come up against once in a while. Keep your eyes peeled for more issues!
With regards you ponies - round up evidence you may be able to do same as me and prosecute RSPCA for mistreatment of animals - they are responsible even if they have placed the animals in anothers care.
Havent had any pms from you in a while - how are things going - update me on what happened in your interview.
Admin - would it be possible to create a secure area in this site to hold contact details of RSPCA personnel or departments that legitimate members can access for correspondence etc????

Yes, that would be brill if we could have a secure storage area.
Admin could give access to those that are known to be genuine.
I've got home addresses and mobile numbers for some of the RSPCA peeps.

Enjoying his Holiday
I see from the Facebook posts that Mr Hopgood is having a little time away.
I do hope that he isn't too upset when he comes back to an Investigation..................If Mr Grant is taking it seriously

There are a couple of things that need to be looked into but i`m not the most computer literate person on the planet.
1. Is to shut the forum to guests. They want to read it, they join it.
2. A secure area is a great idea but if i can work out how to close the forum to guests then it would be scure anyway.

You are right. As things are at present, anyone can see what we're saying. I'm often online early...4 or 5 am ... and quite often there are several others online, so-called 'guests' who say nowt but could be the Gestapo. Of course, then there is still nothing to stop anyone from becoming a member and trolling on the site. But they can be banned if they become a problem.

Hi Admin
I used to run a forum. There is a section under the general bit which you can check and it will make sure you approve every new user. I'm unsure if this forum is the same settings as my old one.
Also, go into the section for your first forum and you can close the access down to users only - this will not allow any guests unless they register and get your approval.
I'm willing to help if needed so just let me know. Always happy to help and be a moderator too if wanted.

Locked Down
Ha! He obviously knows he's in the spotlight, too late, yes, after you posted I had a look and defo there was a racist comment about 'Johnny Foreigner'. Sure a few of us saw that. And some equally friendly comment about knocking him into the stalls?

Absolutely Trilbybee.
I copied and reported the racist/violent comment to the Police who are now asking for a statement.

Bet he wishes he'd stayed on holiday! What I saw (this morning) was that he'd enjoyed his time off and was now ready to get back to sorting out all those nasty cruel animal abusers...by which I guess he means some of us!! Will the CEO be getting a copy of his violent racist comment?

Re: Those on Facebook, can you please check out........................
Both the CEO, Ray Goodefellow, Head of Legal and Hamish Rogers of the prosecutions department have been made aware. To be honest I believe that this should be made public. It's bad enough that its a violent and racist comment, but even worse coming from an ex military member! No idea how to get it right out in the open though.
I know I have an issue with the RSPCA, but on another note, I have never been racist and firmly believe that racist attitudes should be stamped out.
I also note that not one single friend on Mr Hopgoods profile is anything other than white in skin colour. Is this someone with a real issue toward race?
