Can we all group together and get more info?

Post  Candcane on Thu Jun 27, 2013 8:50 am

This is a fab forum and has been, and still is, a massive help to me.

I've been thinking. Most of us have stories to tell about underhand tactics, bullying, being treated unfairly etc. Is there anyway we could maybe start a page (say Facebook) where anyone who is willing can have the full story on there (we change name and certain details to keep the person anon)?

I think if the general public can see what happens in the background on these cases then the RSPCA and maybe even the Police and Justice System will be a little more careful about what they are doing.

Then, the people who have had the problems can discuss everything on here, in private with us.

I'll be more than happy to help Admin as I know you have your work cut out already. We could be similar to the SHG, but we would be the group that make the background details a little more public.

Just from talking to certain members on here I've been made aware of some real awful treatment!

The Stories We Can Tell

Post  Trilby Bee on Thu Jun 27, 2013 1:13 pm

Sure we could get a lot of stuff together, not just those of us who are using the Forum regularly, but we also have people who have disappeared off radar whom we might manage to coerce into giving a few snippets! Interesting prospect certainly...Very Happy...I am fairly sure moonstone will be mightily in favour of this, she has seen them in action and been at the receiving end of their bully boy tactics. They treated her very badly. It would probably increase Forum membership as well.

No objections from me.
The only thing i would add is that there are already several anti RSPCA facebook groups and all have very little membership. Wether that`s because people are afraid they`ll be picked on by the RSPCA i don`t know.

I think the most important thing is what we actually call the Facebook page. I think some people are two embarrassed about joining a hate page for fear of recognition etc. I think our page would be something new! The people could private message us on here or on the FB page and we (whatever our logins are) will publish the story to the site.

If I'm really honest, I have no one to go to Court with soon as I really don't want my friends to know. I feel I've done nothing wrong, but I'm a private person. I think many others may be like this too.

Maybe we should look at calling the page something which clearly says RSPCA prosecutions - the real stories. Just words along those kind of lines so that it shows the page is about the RSPCA, but also about what happens in the background.

Facebook

Not a fan and never use it - I did suggest getting the TV and papers involved and ITV were interested but need several 'vicitims' to come forward and this is unwise if you have a live case - look back over previous posts by me on this site - I have contact details and Times might do any article since they are not keen on our friends - solicitor is willing to be on camera too if it will help - you know who I mean!

Well, the thing about FB -  I don't use it much - but it gets the word out and about...the Help Humphrey campaign is well supported... and it doesn't have to be a 'hate campaign' (there are enough of those) just stories straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. I find it startling that an animal 'charity' is one of the most prolific prosecutors in the country to start with.

But do try to take someone with you to court. I took someone each time...I didn't ask, they were horse owners in the same lane whom I had known for 17 years and who were gobsmacked at what had happened. They were not really shocked as one of them had had RSPCA and the other a few years before  had had World Horse Welfare bitching and bellyaching about a horse which had laminitis. It was not her pony but as she was the leaseholder the WHW officer (retired police found himself a cushy job with WHW and totally up himself) told her it was up to her to take responsibility for its welfare. It was already in a starvation paddock, seen vet, owners DID visit daily but the little cretin from WHW kept going on at Maggie as she was the one who was there when he crept in. Oh, Mrs. H, you do realise this horse is your responsibility...etc etc.

And I fully understand why you do not want to TELL anyone...there is such a dreadful STIGMA attached to animal cruelty...not quite, but almost, as bad as being a paedophile...and when you have spent years and thousands of pounds looking after an animal/several animals which they steal and then murder, you start to get neurotic. I took no holiday for 17 years as my horse's welfare was too important and I did not trust anyone else to care for her. I won't leave my cats either.

Yes, a catching name would be a good start!!Very Happy

Take care.

Can we all group together to get info?

Post  moonstone on Fri Jun 28, 2013 10:19 pm

I certainly would be up for telling of my ordeal at the hands of those evil morons Evil or Very Mad but there are already several Facebook groups which i am a member of one is rspca money grabbing & couldn't care less:) most of those on that group are from the original forum which this was derived from:) i believe this was started because rspca infiltrated the original forum plus we had trolls frequently popping up:evil: this one is moderated so it should be safe to post here:)
I am also a member of Rose Jay's group rspca exposed:) she is writing a book about the evil antic's of rspca so if you would like to contact her with your stories she may want to publish them:) she had her horses stolen so will know what you are going through.Crying or Very sad anyway if you do go ahead please add me:)

Hi

I had quite a high profile ordeal with the rspca as they informed the newspapers and television station, however, what they didn't publicise after they had ruined my life and livelihood was that I was never prosecuted for any alleged offences despite them having me arrested for an interview.
Their explanation was that there was" insufficient evidence and it wasn't in the public interest"
Since when has that ever stopped them?
I did ask SHG if there were any other people like myself that I could contact but they said that most people wanted to just get on with their lives after being involved with the rspca.
I understand that people do not want to draw to rspca's attention to them, but I think it is naive to think that it's over after the rspca walk away as I know for a fact that they use plain clothes snoopers.

The more one hears...the more shameful it gets.

Welcome to the site Stelinbar, and sorry to hear of your ordeal. 'Not in the public interest'; I would love to know which of the jokers came up with that one. You get worse treatment than a serial sex offender or a paedophile.
If they publicised your 'case' (for want of a better word) sufficiently that your livelihood and reputation are ruined, then my guess is that you MUST be eligible for compensation. The only problem is, of course, that the no-win no-fee brigade are only interested in PHYSICAL injury. A friend of mine got her coat caught in the car door when she was getting out and was dragged along the road for a few yards. Her fault IMO as she had not ensured that the coat was clear of the doors, but now suing her husband's insurers if you like. I could half understand if it had been a minicab and she had been paying for the trip...but as it's a physical injury (hurt her leg) they are prepared to take it on.
Have you actually requested that they retract their untruthful reports to press and TV? Even that is not good enough, if you have suffered finacially you should be compensated. Citizens' Advice are great but they do not have legal expertise...they deal with immigration problems, benefit problems etc. I did not find them that useful when I went and asked for advice...they gave me the number of (arguably) the worst solicitors in the SE.
There must be someone who can advise and help...am somewhat surprised that SHG could not. How long ago was your nightmare?

Welcome to the forum Stelinbar:D I was not prosecuted either:shock: rspca forced their way into my house and stole my pet rabbits on the word of a lunatic woman who used to be my friend (obviously i had bad judgement )Evil or Very Mad they refused to let me call my vet (said that they had rung him and he wasn't at the surgery when he said that they never contacted him until after they had removed my bunnies)my vet knew that this woman was going to report me and was prepared to come over straight away and speak up for me but he wasn't given the chaance to defend me:cry:
They dragged all my terrified bunnies out (by then they had 6 vans and about inspector's at my house)i was told i had been arrested and would be charged and was looking at a prison sentence of 3 months:cry:
The next day they phoned and said that their vet had said there was nothing wrong with the rabbits and i could have them all back:) they returned them over a 3 day period and they were in an awful condition:evil: covered in poo:evil: many had bite wounds and needed vet treatment:evil: 14 later died,i found the first little girl dead the next day:evil: i tried to get them to pay for the vet but they just ignored any communications from me:evil: this is what they do,they will lie to cover their backs and each other so trying to get them to admit they have been wrong will be difficult if nit impossible:evil:
