MARMITE you gotta love this ad!
Shown today for the first time on primetime TV (in between episodes of Corrie) an advert for Marmite which really takes the pee:lol: actors dressed in rspca uniforms removing Marmite jars for rehoming:o with the "owners" looking shame faced as they remove the "neglected" jars:roll: I DON'T THINK HQ RSPCA WILL BE LAUGHING AT THIS AD BUT I CERTAINLY WAS;)

Marmite you gotta love this ad
YES there is a link i just don't know how to put it on here (or anywhere else actually as i am not very pc savvy) it was on the rspca injustices forum yesterday:lol:
Just a thought but if the advertising agencies are taking the piss at rspca then maybe that is a good step forward:) must say i was a bit surprised to see this ad:shock: first time i have noticed that rspca is being made fun of:lol:

Marmite Commercial
The thing is, moonstone, you have to be pretty sure that all the recent negative publicity is what gave someone the idea of producing a commercial about the RSPCA 'seizing' (hahaha) jars of Marmite. I am sure people are now starting to see them as a bit of a joke ...altho' of course it's no joke the way they carry on. Does the ad show the owners being taken to court for not providing a suitable environment because the cupboard was too small?
Can we get the link and post it as a sticky.
Come to think of it, they would make a good comedy series!!

French and Saunders did a really funny one of them, they found a shoe which had been hit by a car and took it to an RSPCA vet...and all the time they were posing fir the cameras in true RSPCA fashion...yes, people are definitely seeing them as a joke, but I guess they just think it is good publicity for them!

And I love the appeal for donations too. Brilliant.

Can you believe anyone could be arsed to actually complain? Think I will contact ASA to tell them it's the best ad I ever saw...I like the 'I never saw one as small as that...'

Marmite!
I just had to watch that ad again..it's just so funny:lol: trilby i remember the sketch that French & Saunders did too:lol:
Apparently some idiots have been complaining as they think that this is about child neglect not rspca perhaps someonee should put the moron's straight on that one:roll:
The iriony of this ad is that when i was raided and had my rescue bunnies illegally stolen:twisted: the inpsectors actually rummaged throught my fridge and kitchen cupboards looking for drugs:evil: the evil bitch who reported me had left some banned anti-biotics at my house obviously she had planted them in the hope that i would be imprisoned (which is what she wanted) unluckily for her although i gave these to rspca ,she had forgotten that they had her name on the bottles that her vet had given her to treat her sick rabbit with (so she could have landed him in big trouble for having this drug,as he had smuggled it into the country from South Africa) rspca couldn't charge me with having it as it wasn't mine but her's:oops: she had not thought through that when she had grassed on me BITCH!!! she was getting this from her vet for her rabbit's and selling it on to other owner's so she is the one who should have been charged with drug smuggling.

Re: MARMITE you gotta love this ad!
Moonstone, you cannot be serious. They think it's about child neglect...? What, with the jars of Marmite in little carriers (I cracked up at that!) and the jars of Marmite in the cages at the rehoming centre with a mother pointing to a jar and saying 'I like this one'.
Was talking to one of my two normal neighbours about it today (I have just two, the rest are barking or totally up themselves) ...he hadn't yet seen the ad...and told him that hundreds of people have now complained to ASA. He said, sensibly I thought, that if they considered something like this ad so terrible that they had to take the time and effort to contact ASA, then they must have had totally uneventful lives thus far...sheltered lives you might say. We agreed that what they needed was something catastrophic in their lives to help them see things in perspective. Someone else I spoke to said she thought it 'trivialised animal cruelty'. I told her I was glad that at last Arse-PCA were being seen as the joke that they are.
Have posted the link for any of you members who didn't yet see the ad. I wouldn't be surprised if it's banned tho'. Apparently the Mafia are not amused.

Yes i have read that some idiots are assuming that it is about child abuse:shock: i liked the Marmite facebook forum which is full of comments about animal abuse not being funny and the ad is not taking this seriously:x have added a few commenst myself (don't think i will get many likes though)i am still amazed that so few people realiise just what arseholes rspca are:x they still believe that they care about animal welfare which is a joke:lol: noticed that the ad wasn't shown tonight as scheduled (according to their facebook account)so perhaps they have had second thoughts about it:cry: hope not as it's so funny and the fact that they are taking the piss of rspca:D
