Remembrance Day
I agree wholeheartedly as we seriously owe them so much...then and even now; I live near the Richmond Royal Star and Garter Home and the Poppy Factory. After the end of WW2 they seriously thought the Star and Garter Home would be empty as the original occupants passed away. Sadly, of course, their rooms were taken by more recent victims...war, unfortunately, did not end in 1945. That was only when WW2 ended. We've had much since then....Afghanistan...Ireland...Falklands...it goes on and on and on.
But this morning I read a post on another forum from a member whose brother had been advised by his employer before a recent business trip to Birmingham NOT to wear a poppy as it might not be considered appropriate. So whose business is it if you/I/we choose to wear a poppy every day? People in this country are allowed to wear a burkha every day... I personally have chosen not to wear a burkha, but when I just read this, it made me want to wear one and cover it in poppies.

Send us all a photo by pm T and we`ll let you know if you need a Burka or not.
Every Rememberance day, Armed Forces Day and St Georges i fly a St Georges Cross and a Union Flag outside my home, sadly i`m the only one in my street that does.
