A couple who run a care home were reported by some scumbag for keeping their ageing Dachshound with long nails Shocked As the owner described the events that unfolded over this it was unbelievable (probably not to us on here though) she said that rspca inspector forced his way into her home (so they are still doing that are they?)she explained that her dog was now aged 12 and had just lost her life companion who was 14 so she as grieving Sad her vet had alway's clipped her dog's nails but had said that as this dog was now fairly old it would be better to leave her alone which they did Smile a visitor to their care home had complained about the dog's long nails so hence the rspca on the doorstep (Or in the house in this case) He bullied the husband into picking the dog up then roughly cut her nails Evil or Very Mad that the night dog had messed in her bed and next day she was unable to walk Sad a trip to the vet and she had to be PTS Sad Owner said that she had often donated to rspca but not from now on Evil or Very Mad what a despicable thing to do to an old dog who was in good health before they bulling scum turned up throwing his weight around.

Glad to see you are still fighting the good fight, moonstone!

It gets to the point that nothing the Animal Gestapo does shocks or even surprises me any more...how sad for the owners to lose one Dachshund and have another little bitch effectively murdered by those morons. I can see how one could easily start doing things to them and getting militant. If I heard someone had put rats, or better still, poisonous snakes, thro' the letter box of the Gestapo officer who caused the death of this much-loved pet, I would laugh like a drain. Wouldn't you just love to send this Gestapo officer a parcel of dogshit (gift-wrapped of course)?

I would like to hear that the owners kick up a real stink and stand up to them like a few of our members here are currently doing. Hey...what a coincidence that this little dog had to be pts the day after the Gestapo handled her. I had an aged cat with really dreadful claws...they were like hens claws...really tough... and he was polydactyl into the bargain (ie extra toes everywhere) into the bargain. With my other guys I can do it myself, but Joey's claws were as tough as old boots. Every 8 weeks I had to get the vet to clip his dreadful claws but it was never a problem Joey (the old cat) never got upset as she (the vet) knew what she was doing. I guess the Gestapo officer was a total cowboy.

It seems like they stoop to a new low every day.
Hopefully the owners will take this matter further.
