Further to my recent post I need clarification on the Statement.

The RSPCA keep hounding me for an interview under caution. I have not given them an answer yet and need to know what I should do.

I know that my interview should be no more than a no comment. If I told them that I won't attend one then does that put me in a bad position with a Judge? Also, can the Police come and arrest me? I don't want to be arrested as I have young children and this just isn't something I would want them to see.

I've been told that there is an option of providing a written statement - very basic.

Along with the above I've read that if they want to issue a summons then the amount of time they have only starts once they have my statement. So if I dragged my feet on this interview thing then it's not going to help me????

Please can someone clarify please. I'm unsure if I should be doing this by PM by the way.

Have a look at the `Read it, remember it` sticky at the top. Does this help with your answer?

Sorry, yes it does.

I guess I can just decline the Interview then.

Be sure to obtain copies of all paperwork and lists of individual bits of paperwork. If asked for vet receipts etc make sure you get copies first. Don`t let them write `Took xxx pages of xxx`
Once you hand it over it`s theirs to doctor/use as they wish.
