RSPCA APPEAL for Money
I caught by accident an RSPCA TV ad on Friday asking for urgent donations..... Normally I switch off, but I watched this time and noticed the following:-
While your attention is drawn to the sad and sorry animals in the pictures along the bottom runs some info which makes interesting reading: -
115,000 animals rescued (not sure of time frame), 55,000 rehomed..............So where are the other 60,000???? Surely more than 50% were not so ill that they had to be put to sleep???? I was under the impression that it was 44% that were PTS, but this makes me believe that percentage is too low and in fact it is over 50% - I think it works out to 52.XX%.
If you catch the ad - red back screen, can anyone record it and look closely at the other info published at the bottom, didnt catch anymore as surprised myself by not switching it off!

Re: RSPCA APPEAL for Money
I always thought the number PTS sleep was more like 70%.
I`ll try and look out some figures.

This (fairly recent) article concerns their Aussie cousins...I have read some seriously shocking reports about them, some of which make our lot look like St Francis of Assisi.
I'm fairly sure tho that the article by Dawn Aubrey-xxx...the one who killed herself...definitely said over half were euthanised. (Sorry, can't remember second half of her name...Williams maybe?)

Re: RSPCA APPEAL for Money
They had a woman begging on their behalf outside my local supermarket today.
I did try to walk past without causing a scene. Not my fault she chose to try and ponce money off me
