Appeal looming!
Guys, I've been unable to track the forum down for months! IT simply doesn't come up anywhere on Google! Managed to find an old email on a previous PC and I'm back.
Nothing much has happened since my conviction. I've done my Community Service, which was an absolute joke! The people there were smoking dope, drunk most of the time and were robbing the charity shop time and time again of stuff that could have raised good money. I even got asked to make a fraudulent phone call.....................and I've kept the evidence
Anyway, appeal is coming up and I hope Mr Weller is fighting fit. I'd started to get over the not eating and sick feeling that the trial left me with, but it's all starting to come back.
Must fight on!!!

Re: Appeal looming!
Oh, I've forgotten something.
Back in the late Summer I went out for a friends birthday drink. We were all sat in the beer garden enjoying ourselves. The guys with us all went into the pub to get another round and before I knew it a guy who was a witness for the RSPCA at my trial came over giving me abuse and shouted out to everyone that I was an animal murderer! He then said I'll see you at the appeal in January and this time your going to prison! His Wife works at the Court that the appeal is at. There were just three of us girls, one baby and two toddlers.
It ruined my whole weekend. Reported it to Nigel Weller, but not sure what will happen about it. Could I have that guy stopped coming into the Court Room at all?

Re: Appeal looming!
Welcome back to the fold Candcane!
I think it would be a conflict of interest if the appeal went ahead where she worked and would definitely get hold of Nigel.
Did you notify the police of the persons intrusion on your privacy?

Hi Admin
The appeal has been moved, but no idea if it was to do with this guy.
I told Nigel as soon as I could and witness statements went across.

Welcome back Candcane!!
Think I also said some time ago that I was gobsmacked at the pilfering at the charity shop where I did my slave labour. I'm in an affluent area and some of the donations were worth a good few quid. Someone brought in two dresses from Hobbs in Richmond, brand new still with price tags of £200+ each...no kidding. I never saw them again and when I (deliberately) asked what they went for, there was a significant hush.
Also, when my son moved house he dumped about 100 CD's on me and a pile of DVD's, telling me to take what I wanted and dump the rest. I took about 75 CD's to a charity shop one Sunday and the following week called in with the DVD's. When I looked at the shelf, not one of the DVD's was to be seen and I was sure the young guy who was there on the Sunday by himself had taken the lot. So I gave the DVD's to a friend of mine to add to what she had for a car boot sale. I bet they don't even think of it as stealing either. But in the first instance, the two dresses, that was not a volunteer, that was the manager/ess. The fact is they get piss poor wages and boost their income by selling decent dresses etc on eBay, of that I am sure.
How terrible to be abused like that, what did Nigel say about it? Hope your appeal goes OK...so much stress, is it any wonder people are suffering from high blood pressure now before they're 40?
